Okay, so last week I went to a specialist to check for genetic defects bc they run in my family. They did an ultrasound and I was 16w6d. We were told it was a boy. But the entire ultrasound the baby wouldn't sit still. Was moving around all the time. So I thought maybe there couldn't be a clear picture or 100% bc of that and that it could be part of the cord. The entire pregnancy I have felt it was nothing but a girl. Every old wives tale, heart rate, cravings, horrible morning sickness, even mother's intuition. Everyone said girl and I have said it's a girl since I found out. To find out it's a boy really upset me. I was so adament that it was a girl and I felt nothing but disappointment. Of course I'll be happy it's a boy and love him regardless but I am still secretly hoping it's a girl. I go back to my regular OB on Feb 11 and they will do an ultrasound and let me know gender. I will be 18w4d then. Have any of you mommas been told it's a boy early to find out it was a mistake? Or vice versa? Or do you think it could be an error if it was too early to be 100%?
