My 3 month old daughter's pediatrician has told me since she was born to feed her on schedule not on demand. She is currently 13 lbs and some oz. The problem is that she loves to nurse . When she's upset or having trouble sleeping she nurses and it helps her settle. It's the same doctor that has told me i have to do cry it out, also dice she was a couple of weeks old. Everything I've read says to feed baby when she's hungry and that's what i want to do. Why does this doctor want me to limit her feedings? Is a schedule better for her?
