Is it weird my doc never gets urine samples from me?

I always read on here about docs taking urine samples but my doc actually makes me pee before he sees me so that my bladder is empty... I'm also only 12w3d

I thought it was weird, too. I'm almost 23 weeks and my doctor doesn't get a urine sample either. He didn't even take one at my first appointment. All my other doctors that I've had, have taken urine samples every time I went in from 12-40 weeks. I look at it this way, he has been in practice for 16 years so I guess he knows what he is doing lol

My doctor checks at every appointment just to make sure there's no protein in your urine

That's how my clinic does it 24 and up
