Okay now I am grossed out!! HELP

I'm not here to judge anyone but damn it is where I live and I am fed up.

I live in an apartment (money is tight la, la, la i would move if I could). Anyhoo, my neighbors cook this food 2-3 times a week. I hear it is cultural to make certain dishes which is why this is a sensitive issue and I ask kindly for advice. I don't know what it is but the smell starts off as garlic and boom, like a bomb went off, my house reeks.

Now this is no exaggeration!! I tried opening windows (came in from outside, tried closing them and it seeps its evil way in anyways). It lingers, for at least 2 days. My cupboards have a permanent stench. You can smell when opening them. I am embarassed to have people over. It makes my clothes smell and I cannot escape it. I am not sure which neighbor it is. It is an awful smell.

What should I do ??? :(
