I don't know necessarily think it's weird however, my MIL is Christine and has always gone by Chris without putting too much thought into she named her son Christopher and it has caused a ton of confusion through the years. In my case I always have to be super specific when talking to my father in law as I call them both Chris.

So, a name similar to yours sure but maybe not one where you are both called the same thing.

Not at all! I'm almost positive this is my last baby, and is another boy, but I really wanted to have something of mine in his name. Definitely not my maiden name, it's too often mispronounced or misspelled - I know that option works well for lots of ladies though. My mn is Lynn, so I was just going to us that as baby's mn (we know a few male Lynn's), but as I was looking through name books again, I came upon Flynn. It's got my name in it, but also means "son of a redhead" which my little guy definitely is, so it was perfect.
