At what age was your child potty trained?

By 18 months he was in underwear except at night. And he only had a couple of night accidents but changing sheets in the middle of the night and bathing a kid are pretty rough when you have to go to work the next morning lol so we did the pampers goodnights for a while just in case.

My son was two and we did it over the weekend. Try a potty party!

My brother and I were potty trained by two, and in less than a week. The trick our mom used was no pants, at all. Young enough to not care, and we stayed home, obviously, with no company. Our mom's philosophy was that for all the child knows, mom and dad potty in their pants too, but they don't see you potty in the floor. The immediate reaction for the kiddos is, "Uh Oh!" And they go to the potty. I've seen so many other parents use it (I worked part-time in a preschool) when nothing else has worked, and I'll tell you, it seems to be the quickest  and easiest way.

I'm following this, hopefully to hear some advice on what others have done with potty training an "older" child.

My son is 3 & is still very uninterested in using the potty. I'm pretty sure I know the main underlying issue, but he needs to start regardless. He can't even start "school" this upcoming year if he's not potty trained & all of the other kids in his class now are potty trained already. He literally changes his own diaper (pull-up) now & that's ridiculous!

My daughter is 21/2 and she is now interested and we are working on it, hoping to have her out of diapers before baby comes in sept.
