Help what medicines can I take to before a hysterosalpingography?

I took 800 (4) ibuprofen and that is it. Absolutely stop reading the horror stories on the internet. It is a little painful there is no sugar coating that. However it is tolerable and you got this. I read so many scary stories about ladies saying it was so painful they passed/cried/threw up I'm here to tell you mine was not too bad.

Mine wasn't that bad at all either. 800 mg of Advil 45 minutes before, and my cramps were minimal. I felt a lot pressure and mild cramping during, but as soon as it was done, I was fine. No bleeding either. Just remember to take deep breaths and know that it's for the good!

You can take some pain killers prior to your HSG. I took 800 milligram Motrin and a Valum, it didn't help. My HSG was extremely painful.
