Why not induce?

What are the major concerns about being induced?

I was induced and was in labor for 54 hours ending in a c section that caused me to almost have a hysterectomy. I tell everyone that asks, if you don't have to do it don't do it.

If the doctor deems It necessary then it's what's best for the baby. But being induced you are forcing your body to go through labor when it's not ready. Leading up to when you naturally go into labor your body prepares itself.  Also you risk having to do an c section which can happen if you go natural as well. I just wouldn't want to force my body into it unless it was needed for the babies sake

That baby is not try ready to come
That induction whether mechanical it chemical often leads to further interventions - epidurals/c-sections
That it interferes with the natural hormone production that promotes bonding and breast feeding

Mine ended in a c-section. It was rough. But I know other women who did just fine.

I've had 3, I don't see what the fuss is about either, I delivered naturally with no complications

Why not induce?
