I ate it throughout my first pregnancy because I was craving it constantly and I didn't know. My son is perfectly fine and, what a surprise, no infections.

I am not eating most lunch meat not only because of listeria risk, but because deli meat is HIGH in nitrates and are bad for baby. If I eat something, I buy nitrate free meat.
