Only if it's necessary.. Ease such should be for a purpose not just to look at baby and oo and ahh at them.. First its dating, second is anatomy, third would be position?-yet baby can flip whenever it wants.. As long as it has a purpose.. High risk pregnancies tend to take a lot of scans... I think those should take priority over a unnecessary 3rd tri scan... There are plenty of ultrasound private clinics that you can oo and ahh at baby over..

No, I believe how doctors do it is correct. The only reason you get more is down the problems with either mother, baby, bleeds or growth concerns, them people should have priority over anyone who just wants to be in awe of their baby.if your that bothered pay for one? 
Speaking from experience I had a massive massive bleed at 24 weeks, approx 400mls of blood lost, wasn't feeling baby move, but because there was people booked in for their scans they couldn't get me in straight away, yes I was annoyed really annoyed because I could of been losing my baby and not nown about it, I now have to have them every 2 weeks because of how much blood I've lost all together 650mls, and being 100% effaced and 2cms since 27+4.. 
Why shouldn't women who have problems be prioritised. I still paid for an additional 4d scan for us to see our little boy

I've opted out of all ultrasounds and got the panorama genetic full panel instead. I personally think they are extremely dangerous and the likely cause of all the autism, adhd, behavioral problems, ect.  You are frying the poor fetus's fragile developing dna with all those high frequency waves over and over for no reason other than to get a picture. Ultrasounds hand only been widely used for about 25 years, the exact time autism skyrocketed.  I'll stick to the way nature intended without the wave cooker money making machines that doctors and hospitals get rich off.  I find those 3D vanity picture places especially foolish.  They are unregulated machines that even the FDA warns against.  Do your research people!

I've had people in my province switch doctors due to lack of ultrasounds. This girl was 12 weeks and still didn't have her first ultrasound! I would want more than 3! Think you should get a few!

I literally had like 10 ultrasounds throughout my entire pregnancy. I just always ended up having my appointments on the days the sonographer was in office (Monday's & Friday's) and he gave us pics each time. I'm glad tho because I have a pic for almost each month of his growth and putting them in order is so cool to me!

I begged the nhs midwife unit for an early scan because I travel internationally for work and was going to be away for 12th -16th week. She told me it was impossible and nhs has no money to find a dr in Switzerland ... Um no, it doesn't work like that. She was so rude and I made my point about needing to make decisions about my career and that I don't have maternity rights because I contract. She then said "so you want to terminate this pregnancy." I absolutely lost it and hung up on that B!  Absolutely awful. These people are going to be in charge of listening to my birth plan and cannot even hear a reasonable request and jump to the very worst case possible.

I think I did have 3...  With my son, I had one at 9 weeks for dating, then again at 19 weeks to find out the sex, then we had at least one more routine U/S by the time I delivered.  Is that not normal?  That was when I lived in North Carolina.... my sisters both live in Missouri and neither of them got an U/S until 12-14 weeks which I thought was so weird!  They say it's weird that I had one so early... ?

I got one at 10 weeks, and i think I will get one a 14 weeks to check the fluid think for downs. (SO had a sister with it) and I know I get one at 20 weeks. I'm not sure when I even get mine sadly.
