Wrong gender???

Question

My husband and I went for a private ultrasound this weekend. I was 14w6d on the day of the scan. The tech said "it looks like it's a baby girl!" - but I honestly have felt so sure and been so convinced it was a boy for my whole pregnancy that I was so shocked to hear it's a girl. We are ecstatic either way and this isn't about wanting one over the other. But I'm just so surprised that I was SO wrong!

Unless I was too early and she was wrong? Has anyone experienced being told the wrong gender at an early scan like this??

I got mine done at 14 weeks and there were 3 spots on there that she said meant she was for sure a girl. And those were her labias and clitoris. (Weird!!) my baby showed all!! I gotta teach her not to do that anymore...

I went at 15.2 and was told I was having a girl, felt really uneasy about it because I was sure it was a boy, although the I was ecstatic for a little girl. Went at 15.5 for an elective scan and ya definitely a boy

I want and got an early gender reveal at 14w3d and they told me I was having a little girl. I want back at 16 weeks and she was right! They say usually if they say it's a little girl is most likely right.

My mother was convinced her entire pregnancy that she was having a boy, like only picked a boy's name, and then boom!  I arrived and not a boy. Lol. 
Keep in mind they didn't do ultrasounds back then so it was all that hormonal instinct. It's just a funny story in retrospect.

Oh I was 100% positive I was having a boy...genetic testing came back and GIRL! I'm ecstatic either way :)

My brother was a girl until he was born. Same thing happened, apparently it was to early to tell

Could be too early. My friend was told girl at 17 weeks but she had a boy lol

Outer sex organs form from 9-13 weeks. Techs can have a hard time picking up the gender that early, but if you had an experienced one I would venture to say she was right. The only real reason why they usually wait til around 20 weeks, is because that's when they do the anatomy scan to make sure baby is developing properly. (Two birds, one stone kind of thing)

Same thing happened to me, I was convinced it was a boy and I found out last weekend it was a girl, no doubt! Do you have a picture?

Im not even finding out what I'm having, because my mother was told she was having a girl with my brother, and a boy with me, and that was through the final ultrasound, the doctors were so confused, when we both came out opposite, because they were so sure lol

They told me with my second that I was having a girl the whole way through. I didn't believe them and thank goodness cause He was not a girl.
