Can a opk tell you your pregnant?

I'm 10 dpo havnt got any pregnancy tests yet but I read somewhere on here can't find it now that u can use a opk as a pregnancy test. What would it look like if it actually worked ? Not sure if to give it a go

We used 1 once and came out positive but we weren't pregnant. Its heartbreaking so wouldn't risk it xx

I did this during our blizzard a couple of weekend ago bc I was feeling weird and I wasn't about to brave the snow to go buy one.  I had a bunch if opks lying around and consistently used them once a day for about 3 days and each one was hugely positive in about 5 seconds.  I was positive once I finally got my hands on a pregnancy test.  So yes...hcg and LH are very similar hormones and hcg can be picked up on an opk.  But just make sure you go in knowing that it's probably not time for ovulation and if you get a positive make sure to eventually confirm with an actual pregnancy test.

Thanks ladies I tried it and got the faintest line ive decided to wait for few more days and get a proper test x

I think the line would show up very faint. But here's the issue. After you o, the lh is still in your system and you will still have positive or faint lines after o. I've gotten faint lines all the way through till 13 dpo. I think the opk trick only would work AFTER your missed period. Even then, I would rather get a dollar store test at that point.
