Sub chronic hemorrhage
Looking for others who have experienced this and can share their story and encouragement with me! Yesterday I reached 12 weeks! After 2 miscarriages last year (13w and blighted ovum at 11w), I have been thrilled to experience a few weeks of nausea and for everything to look perfect at my 8 week scan. I was caught so off guard today when I woke up at 5:30am to blood soaked underwear. I started bawling while I sat on the toilet thinking the worst. I called the practice/hospital I'm seeing and they had me go in right away for an ultrasound. I was so relieved the moment I saw that heart still beating and the little body wiggling all around! I was told I have a "fairly large" sub chronic hemorrhage (blood trapped under the placenta), that they often resolve themselves but it can also cause a miscarriage. They put me on pelvic rest, told me to take 2 days off work to lay around the house, and to call them if I'm going through more than a pad an hour or experience clots. I have a follow up ultrasound on Monday.
