Membrane sweep @ 38+4

Went to the doc and had a membrane sweep on Tuesday.  I was only dilated 1.  Yesterday evening my mucus plug fell out and contractions started about an hour later.  I was timing them for over an hour and they were getting more intense and 3 minutes apart.  We went to l&d and she checked me and only 1 cm and slightly thinned out.  She had me walk for an hour and when she checked me again I was still only 1cm but thinned out more.  My contractions at that time were definitely getting stronger and still consistently 3 minutes apart.  Well, she told me to go home and come back if my water breaks or my contractions are so strong that I can't walk or talk.  Went home and went to bed and the contractions stopped completely two hours later.  So frustrating!  This is my 3rd baby and I am patient and expect that she'll come when she's ready, but now I feel like she's playing tricks on me! More of my mucus plug came out this evening but so far no contractions.  I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow
