Can being really sick mess with your cycle this much

I got really sick with fever, cough, sinus infection in Jan, had antibiotics, I had AF and ovulation during the worst of it. AF was supposed to show again tue, but all I've had is water/ creamy discharge(sorry tmi) then last night thought AF was starting, some vvv light pink, nothing else, then a brownish clot but no blood with it. And this am no bleeding or cramps. I took 2 pg test but negative? Could being that sick mess with my cycle that much????
