My daughters father and I were 16 when we had our daughter. We were together for 2 and a half years. He cheated on me the whole time. We ended up breaking up when she was a year old, and both of us found someone better. Him and his girlfriend got together 6 months before me and my boyfriend. They ended up having a baby together. All four of us get along really well. we've never been to court. Everything that is decided is between us. If we have issues we work them out. Our daughter knows who her parents are, and who her step parents are. She's taken care of and that's all that matters. Since we've never been to court but still technically have split custody, I've also never had him pay child support. I'm always told how good of a mom I am because I was so young and these days, you don't usually see the father around. I refuse to take her from him and I firmly believe that he won't ever leave. He was a terrible boyfriend to me, but he is an amazing father. I have no complaints and I'm extremely proud of how well we work together.

Ive known him since we we're 14, (we are now 35) we have been broken up 9 yrs, I'm expecting a baby with someone else, my ex has wkends with our daughter, pays child support, we have joint bday parties for her, we definitely have some arguments over texts but we haven't argued in person for many yrs,overall id say we are pretty lucky to have the relationship we do

He was emotionally abusive and is a poor excuse of a father so my feelings for him are not at all good but I tolerate him since I have to.

He was ext reply abusive even though due to the drugs he has no memory of any of it that doesn't mean it didn't happen. They have no clue who that monster is and as far as I'm conserned they can continue to believe me when I say he was a good man who loves them just can't be a dad.

My ex was emotionally and physically abusive, and continues to try and manipulate. It's a dangerous situation for my daughter, as he is more concerned with his appearance as a "perfect father" than her safety. I picked her up once and she was in the midst of a full blown allergic reaction to something (she has food allergies of which he is aware) - she was having difficulty breathing, full body rash, swollen neck, etc. Took her straight to the ER. When I asked him for more information (respectfully, I might add), he said everything was fine and she was perfectly fine until the *moment* I picked her up. The guy just can't be honest for a second if he thinks there's the slightest chance it will reflect poorly on him in court. He seems to believe court is some epic battle, like in a movie, and that the judge actually cares if he mistakenly gave her a peanut and will revoke his rights or something. Uh, no, doesn't work like that. But he's a narcissist with symptoms of paranoia as well, so it's a bit terrifying. If she injured herself on his watch, I'm 99% certain he'd refuse to seek medical care and then would deny anything happened on his time - wouldn't want anyone to think he's less than perfect. But putting his image above her well-being is *classic* narcissism - at least he's predictable in THAT sense.

We never hear from him. When he does call once every 6 months or so he will try some shit with me and we get into it.
