Fingernails have turned half white and the top is deep red...anyone know what this means?

This nail has an infection. Are your other fingers looking the same? Or just this one?

Did you have nail polish or fake nails on.  This usually happens when your nail beds aren't getting good oxygen

It could be an infection or auto immune disease or some sort of deficiency

Looks like a fungal infection go see a doc. Usually get from dirty manicure tools. Very stubborn to get rid of.

If it's just one nail and you'd had some trauma happen to it I can see why it'd do that. However if all your nails are like that I'd advise you to see your doctor.
