Possible early delivery! Anyone have prior experience with early deliveries?!

Question

So I found out a few days ago that I might have to deliver early. Nolan is perfectly healthy right now BUT he has what's called a velementous cord insertion which means where the cord is attached to the placenta is not in the correct spot so it could cause him to miss out on nutrients,  blood flow,  etc down the road.  My blood pressure has also been up and down.  She said between the two,  I will most likely deliver early.  I don't know how early,  I don't think she knows yet either. I'm 20 weeks tomorrow.  Has anyone ever had an early delivery?  Advise or positive stories to keep my mind at ease?  Thanks in advance!  And here's our Nolan Wade 💛💚💙

My son had the same issue with his cord but it wasn't found until birth.  He was born at 40 weeks 2 days.  He was healthy but scrawny as could be weighing 6 lbs 3 oz but literally he was ski and bones.  But he was fine and had no issues afterwards.  Praying for your little one

1st; labor started at 32 weeks, they were able to stop it until 36 weeks
2nd; labored and birthed at 16 weeks where he passed away
3rd; labored at 34 weeks, they were able to stop it until 36 weeks
4th; labored and birthed at 36 weeks
5th; they predict I'll labor and birth by 34 weeks considering my history and cervical length as of now; if I somehow hold him in until 37 weeks I'll be induced.

All of my kids had high birth weights for they're gestational age due to diabeties; the biggest being 10lbs at 36 weeks making it reasonable and medically acceptable to be induced at 37 weeks.

I delivered my last baby due to pre-e. It was at 34 weeks. He was 5 pounds. This time she has me on Aspirin 81. Up until 36 weeks.

I was also diagnosed with VCI at my appointment this past week.  The cord is inserted near the top of the placenta and not towards the cervix--which I was told makes it much less risky.  They didn't tell me I would necessarily have to deliver early,  but it increases the chance.  Glad to know I'm not alone.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and your babe.

I delivered my last three babies early 36 weeks 35 weeks and my last one was 32 weeks, all babies were fine my last little girl was kept in icu for a week and then put onto the baby unit for a further 2 and a half weeks but she still had a good weight of 4lb 6 oz when she was born. Theyre not expecting me to go to term with this one due to my cervix shortening. ☺️

I had the same thing but was also bleeding internally. My daughter made it to full term.

One of my good friends blood pressure was up and down her whole pregnancy. They monitored it closely and she did make it the whole 40, to the day. BUT, preeclampsia is very seriously and if it gets to the point where your doctor says you need to deliver, you need to take that seriously. Do your research and be informed.
