Daith piercing!?

Question

Anyone get one? I'm a long time migraine sufferer and am super curious if I should bother. I know it's not proven to be true yet. But a lot of people on the Internet are claiming it to be true. So anyone in "real life" wanna tell me this works?

My sister and a cousin of mine got the piercing at the same time, about a month ago, & they've yet to receive another migraine. Maybe it's a case by case situation... It wouldn't hurt to try; you could always let the piercing close if it doesn't work out for you.

You're supposed to have an acupuncturist find the right spot before you get it pierced. It's slight different for everyone :)

I think it depends on the person. I've heard success stories and some people saying it didn't make a difference. I think it's worth a try and even if it doesn't work it's very cute !!!

I have mine done and still get migraines..... But they're really cute.

I have had my done for years but it hasn't helped my migraines. I didn't even know people used it for that.

All those articles circulating "Ever seen this piercing? This is what it really means.." Drive me insane. It doesn't "mean" anything, I've had mine done for years along with numerous other piercings. As to whether it helps with migraines, I can't say I don't suffer from them. But all those articles are very misleading and create a generalization on a piercing with little to no scientific data to back it up, so now when people see this piercing they think..oh she must have migraines...ugh. 🙄

Yeh since it's a new concept or whatever there isn't any scientific proof...they said for all they know it's like a placebo affect. Or mental "all in your mind" but if it works it works. I just heard it's super painful and hard to heal. So haven't jumped at the chance to do it...
