Co-sleep or bassinet?

So I am a total newbie and am not sure if we should spend the money on a bassinet or just have the baby co-sleep with us. I have been looking into the halo bassinet which is the best of both worlds but it's super pricey! We want the baby in our room but we don't have room in our room for a big bassinet. What do you moms suggest?

It's hard for me to read a post like this and not give my input. Please do not sleep with an infant in your bed. I am a crime scene investigator and have worked many infant fatalities as a result of cosleeping. As a new mom you will be especially tired and when you sleep you have no control of your movement. It is not "just the parents that were drunk or on drugs". It can happen to anyone. I know we are all going to be very sleep deprived mommies but please take the extra step and put her next to your bed.

We had a bassinet but she ended up in the bed with me. It was easier for me to keep her warm and feed her ( from da boob). She never slept in the bassinet. When I moved her out of our bed she went to a swing ( ya I know they are not ment for sleeping but you do what you gotta do) then to her crib.

There is one for 60 bucks It's called
Something like rock n sleep or something like that. It's like 60 bucks at target and the baby sleeps at sort of an incline so when they vomit they don't choke on it. And you can have it next to the bed. Co sleeping is very dangerous.

Check out this I saw earlier.. I don't recommend co sleeping bcuz u could roll from exhaustion.. But if u already own crib do this otherwise I suggest a bassinet or pack and play

We have an arms reach co-sleeper. Loved it with my first and will use it with this baby. And it's a decent price.
