Cat lovers and preggers

Totally understandable that we can't change cat litter. No argument there but my doc said that cats can give off a type of clmydia? So to wash my hands after I pet my cat? Never heard of that. Plus he's my snuggle buddy. I spend most of the day kissing him and snuggling my face in his fur and sleeping with him. Have you guys heard of this. He mostly an inside cat. I can't seem to stop myself from constantly loving him.
