We live in glorious Canada where the zika virus doesn't exist (for local transmission at least), but have/had a trip to Tampa, Florida booked for February 23rd. After consulting with my doctor we decided that I won't go. To clarify, he didn't say that I couldn't or even that I shouldn't go, he said that the risk of infection was very small BUT the consequence would be devastating, so to weigh the risk and basically whether the vacation away was that important. The trickier situation is that my partners father and brother are still going, and I would like him to go as this is probably one of the last "boys only trips" that will be had. With the risk of sexual transmission being very low, and the risk of infection being very low, what would you do?
