I'm only asking this because of a topic I just read on Facebook, and the discussion that went on. It was about marital rape, and I came across an individual who repeatedly asserted her opinion that: it's not rape if you are married, if you're married and you are the female you should give your spouse sex every single time he wants it, that men can't be raped, that rape has nothing to do with power and control and is only about sex (because no man has committed rape with a soft penis), that if you ever turn your spouse down for sex and that gives them rights to cheat and it's your fault, and that if your spouse does force themselves on you it still wouldn't be rape, but you deserve it if you stay. I, personally, am pretty sickened by this woman's views and the fact that she kept posting them under the comment from a woman who had experienced marital rape for several years before she was able to get away. Feel free to discuss any of the points she made and whether you agree or not, but my question for the poll is: Do you believe that marital rape is real?
