Newborn pics at hospital or home?

FTM here and I know you get baby pics at the hospital but do most of you get them done there with cute little outfits or do you wait until you are home?

We had pictures done when she was 4 days old, we did them at the photographers house (who lived 10 minutes for us). She would have come to our house but we didn't have the best lighting. We are doing the same thing this time with baby #2 :)

I've gotten all of mine done at the hospital, no complaints. They're probably more simple, but for me, I don't need all the props even though the are super cute.

I had my sister in delivery room and she took the pictures in hospital and we also did the home pictures  after the umbilical cords fall off

I had my son's taken at the hospital. I brought a cute Halloween onesie with us. I'm glad I had them done there. It wasn't that expensive

I am doing ours at home. I have the outfits and props all ready to go. They say the first week is best for newborn photo shoots.

We had one set taken in the hospital, and then one set with a photographer at home. The hospital pictures are very basic, just one outfit, laying in his crib awake and asleep.

We're planning to do both - we bought a pkg for new born/3/6/9/12 month photos and buying it that way basically made 2 of the sessions free. Our hospital has a few regular photogs who come for birth photos and just after and the prices are reasonable so add it on! I don't have many pics from my childhood and would like as many good ones as possible of my kiddos :)
