How do I know my baby is ok?

Question

I've been sick with a cold since January 28. Started a week of antibiotics on Feb 4. Last week I thought I was getting better but a few days ago it hit me again but this time in my chest. I started antibiotics again.  I can't stop coughing and poor baby girl won't stay still. I'm just worried since I don't seem to be getting any better. I'm miserable. 😕

Isn't that an awful feeling. I had an awful cold/cough for like 6 weeks. I just trusted my body to take care of my little boy first. I had 2 rounds of antibiotics, Flonase... My mother kept telling me that humans would not exist if babies couldn't survive their moms getting colds. I rolled my eyes when she said this, but found it oddly relieving later that night when I was hacking up a lung and then puking from coughing so hard. Ugh.

I was so sick a month ago and coughing so hard I was afraid my water was going to break or something. I eventually got an inhaler on top of antibiotics and that was what made a difference. My baby is fine. I hope you feel better. My throat started hurting again and I'm so congested. I have older kids so they keep bringing their germs home to me. My immune system this pregnancy has sucked! Ha

I didn't get anything! I've been coughing my lungs out for 2 weeks now.. Headaches, sore throat, chest pains, the doc said take it easy, suck on some halls take robutussin (doesn't work as good without the DM)  n it'll eventually go awa... I feel like CRAP! Smh

I totally understand how you feel, I was sick for a good two weeks. Didn't want to take any medication because I was scared that it might hurt my baby, I drank a lot of hot water with lemon and honey plus I found a natural candy that consisted of those two ingredients. I was constantly coughing and having to spit every few minuets and felt so bad for my baby girl hearing me cough so much but I was reassured by my nurses that baby is good.

I had the same problem. I had to do two rounds of antibiotics to feel better.  My doctor said that the baby will be ok.  He said if she was here and sick they would give her antibiotics too so not too worry too much.  Just make sure your drinking lots of fluids and eating well.  Feel better!
