When you are on the way to the hospital to deliver either by scheduled c section or a vaginal birth do you have to first call your insurance company to let them know u are going to be admitted? Is it different for different insurances? I'm just confused . I have state insurance right now ( medicaid aetna better health)  With my first child I had private insurance I paid for myself and I didn't have to call the insurance company at all.
