How long did you and your SO wait to have sex after you had your baby? Its been a week and 3 days since I had my daughter and I already feel healed and hardly bleeding. My boyfriend still wants to wait 6 weeks though, lol.

Wow 1 week 3 days... Hold off a little longer PLEASE!! They advise 6 weeks for healing process regardless of delivery, purely because your bodies just been through a hell of a lot and needs time to recover and heal properly.. We waited 5 weeks and it was okay, but Deffo not 1 week 😱😱

You need to wait the 6 weeks because even though you may feel healed externally, the placenta separating after birth leaves an open wound in your uterus that takes time to heal. If bacteria is introduced before it can completely scab over and form a protective layer, you can get an infection that moves into your blood stream. Ever heard of sepsis?
