Is it okay to throw your own baby shower?

It might sound like a dumb question but I really don't want anyone to throw me one I'd rather do it myself the way I want to do it. Instead of getting whatever the person gives you.

Yes! Who ever said you can't throw your own is an idiot. You have to register for your own gifts don't you?! That drives me nuts you know I knew a girl who had 2 babies and no shower because she waited around for someone to throw it for her?? How sad! 😞 I'm a control freak though I controlled every aspect of of wedding so... lol

I think it's perfectly fine as well. A few friends and my Mom and MIL want o help but I also want to be involved. I'm an event planner and just can't help but be involved-it will be a group effort but my hubs and I will definitely be contributing in a big way because it's our first and we want it to turn out the way we envision it. I say, do whatever you want just be considerate of friends and family who want to help- make them feel needed and involved.

It's okay but it's not super common. My mom threw mine with my son and I basically planned it and she paid for it-- I didn't want games and whatnot so she said no problem, just decide what you do want.

Had this discussion with my mom and honestly I'm far too high maintenance and bitchy to let anyone plan it for me. I want it to be perfect. I think it's okay.
