Abnormal testing!!?

I had a blood test done last week at 17 weeks and I got results back today that were abnormal for down syndrome 1-140 and they to see the numbers 1-150+ for it to be normal so I have to see someone out of town March 1st I'm so scared for my daughter and so sad. I don't know what to do or think. I just found out my boyfriend's grandpas sister has it. :(

With odds of 1 in 140, you still have over a 99% chance the baby wont have downs syndrome. Don't stress yet! See the specialist, they'll do some more testing and you'll get your answers. Good luck!

I've heard this happen to people the  further testing showed everything was fine. Either way you will get through this hun. Stay strong. We are here for support if/when you need us x

Research the test you had done...many are known for being highly inaccurate. They are just predictions, not a real yes or no....

That happened to me twice and both babies were fine. Don't even stress yet until after you see the specialist. It happens with a lot of babies.
