Hi! My husband I are naming our daughter a traditional family Irish name, Leyden (pronounced "Lie-den"). It's his grandma's maiden name. We love the traditional Gaelic spelling of Leyden, but we already know everyone will say "Lay-den", which is fine because that's how it looks 😀 My question is do you think we should stick with the real spelling or Americanize it to "Lyden" to avoid constant mispronunciation? Thanks!!
