Cultural superstitions or beliefs
So my own mother, who's Japanese, keeps mentioning how new mothers shouldn't be around water after giving birth because it slows the healing process. I find humor in it she will be with us for the first 2 and half weeks or so-- but none the less anyone else have any superstitions or beliefs??
