Do you sleep with a special "blankie"?
Even as an adult....do you sleep with a special "blankie"?
I DO!
It's falling apart too :(
I had one at 5 years old & was inseparable with it.
It was a white hospital blanket that my mother had while in the hospital. She was sick often back then and hospitalized several times. We were inseparable, I was her shadow. I would get such anxiety when she was away at the hospital and not home. One of the first hospital trips I recall, I was 5, I got so upset when I had to leave.......my mom wrapped her blanket over me before I left. It smelled SO good. Just like her. I slept with it ever since and never could fall asleep without it. It would take away any anxiety I had.
My mom swore I'd walk down the isle with it, lol, but I didn't. (It was home in my bed).
I had gotten rid of it when I was 14. It was falling apart and I wanted to be more "grown up" and not need it anymore.
When I was 17, my boyfriend (now husband) had to go away for a few weeks. He sprayed his cologne on a shirt of his and let me "borrow it" until he came back home. Needless to say, he never got it back!
I got so accustomed to it, the feel of the thermal and the smell--just like him, i can not sleep with out it. It's been over 20 years now.
It feels so good when I rub it on my upper lip or check!
Any one else?!
Do you have a special blankie or cloth material that's your comfort?

Here's mine. It's falling apart! 😪
It used to be a Timberland shirt in its past life!
