How should I go about this?

Question

So I go to a gym called planet fitness. Since the day I signed up, one of the employees always says "hey Alex" everytime I walk in the door. Whe knows my name because he signed me up and gave me a tour of the place. At first I just thought he was being friendly. This has been happening everytime he's working and I happen to be at the gym for the past 3 years. The only time he doesn't is when I bring my boyfriend. Which is then obvious that he's  got an eye on me for a reason. Well about a week ago, he hopped on the elliptical next to me and pulled my earbud out of my ear and started talking my ear off which I DIDNT WANT. He was annoying the crap out of me so my answers were very short and sweet it was obvious I wanted him to get lost. Well a couple days ago I go again, and he literally comes up to me again and tries conversing with me for like 30 straight minutes. I even told him i'm not trying to talk to anyone and that I have a boyfriend who would not like it very much. 
Last night my boyfriend had my phone because he was snapchatting a picture for me and he went on the camera screen and saw that I had a notification which I never pay attention to. Suddenly he asked me who is this guy. I recognize it as a guy who works at planet fitness from his icon. And it said added by phone number. I have never given him my phone number and I believe that he may have taken it out of the database of the gym.
Part about it is that I don't want to report him and Get him fired because I maybe wasn't clear enough That I didn't want all that? 
I'm not trying to get him fired but I know taking info from the database is illegal.
And my boyfriend was worried for a second that I have the guy my number and that I was cheating but as of now he is on my side.

What the hell. That's a major red flag. He's acting obsessed. I think I'd report it.

Bullshit. He speaks English , you told him you have a bf , you don't want to talk. You were being nice and he didn't take the (very clear to me) hint. I would march right up to his manager and let them know that their employee is making your workouts very uncomfortable. If you want to spare him forsure getting fired don't mention the phone number. If he proceeds to still try to talk to you, then 100% let them know about the phone issue. Call corporate if you have to.

First of all, I find that very creepy! I'd say call planet fitness and talk to the manager. That is very unacceptable. Talking to you and trying to be friendly is one thing, but taking your number from the database is just straight up creepy and wrong in all cases. Regardless if you don't want him to get fired, he should've came to work with a straight mind. So if I were you, I'd call and end it now because what if he takes it further than just stealing your phone number? Be safe out there, especially when you're alone.

OHHH HELL NO . First of all i think thats illegal what he did. You dont have to make it clear , if you wanted to give him your phone number you would have but instead he stole it out of a system . Thats 100% fucked up and wrong . I would report him RIGHT away . Have your boyfriend go with you to the place and hopefully he will understand that you are reporting him and you didn't give him the number . The guy is stupid and creepy af . Ahhh gets me tight thats crazy

It's not illegal for him to look at things he has access to? It's not confidential information it's a damn phone number
