Any other survivors of childhood abuse? Having a hard time seeing our future right now 😢😭😢

Any mommies who understand what it's like? I know for a fact that my SO will be a good father and would never EVER do anything like what mine did to me but I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around what a whole and happy family will look and feel like. I really had been doing well dealing with this until I found out I am pregnant. can anyone relate? 😢😢

It is hard I think. And there will definitely be a few moments during parenthood where normal 'stuff' might freak you out... I.e, whilst trying to potty train my eldest daughter I took her to the loo with me to 'watch me' do it (as you do!) anyway, she tried to look between my legs whilst I was on the loo and totally freaked me out, took a while to get past stuff like that but it is normal, considering!
I still freak out whenever my kids are around people I barely know and am probably quite over protective for that reason but it's to be expected. 
Speak to a counsellor if you need to, they can help you make sense of things X
