Low laying placenta? Concern?

I just read my ultrasound report online (released to me via mychart). It mentioned a low laying placenta. Of course I jump to the Internet and get mixed reviews. It's NOT placenta previa, and I have had no break off of any part of my placenta, I also haven't had any bleeding at all during my pregnancy. I had the scan at 17 weeks 3 days.

I liked being able to read the results, but at the same time I am concerned! I'm a worry wart anyways so this is the icing on the cake.

I know that those things cant get released to your chart without the doctor reviewing them, and I have not received a phone call about restrictions or any concerns she may have.

Anyone have a similar situation and can offer me some advice until I can call her tomorrow (REALLT didn't want to bother her on the weekend )

Mine was low lying at 18 weeks, 22 no and just had an ultrasound that showed it moved already :) most of the time they move when your belly grows!

I have it. Have had it since about 15 weeks, I'm now 29. Hoping it has moved! (They are checking tomorrow). Your doctor should definitely talk to you about that! Mine wasn't too worried but I am on restrictions. Pelvic rest and no heavy lifting or strenuous activity. Hasn't been too bad other than the pelvic rest. No bleeding so far! Baby is good! I'm told of it doesn't move I may need a c-section though.

I also had a low-lying placenta at 17w5d, but since it's so early it's really nothing to worry about unless there's any bleeding! usually they move out of the way, your doctor may request another ultrasound around 25ish weeks to make sure it has moved (which it usually did, and mine did by 24w). Don't worry about it too much right now! :)

I had it early on and had vaginal bleeding twice. I wasn't put on any restrictions and my doctor could tell it was already moving up from a week to week ultrasound. I haven't had any bleeding since about 13 weeks. I'm now 20 weeks.
