I have a question for anyone who doesn't feel the contractions when you go into labor... This is my third pregnancy and I still don't fully know what contractions, esp early on, feel like. With my son I was already 5 cm when I went in to be induced and they went ahead and gave me my epidural. With my daughter I was already almost 4 cm and they started my pitocin the next morning and I didn't get the epidural until I was almost 8 cm and only did it then bc they told me I wouldn't get it if I waited much longer and I ended up having them turn it off because it caused major issues so it was gone before I even started pushing as far as me being numb and stuff. I'm not pregnant with my third and I will be 35 weeks Thursday but they are preparing for him to come any day now because he has dropped so low and I am thinning and dilating quickly. I just don't know what to look for. Are there any other signs of labor that I can look for besides the contractions to let me know it's time to go or that it's getting extremely close? I just don't want to end up waiting until it's extremely obvious since we are about 30 min from the hospital I will be delivering at and my husband works 2 hrs away. I had my daughter in 2 hrs so I'm afraid that he may not even make it if I don't know what to look for! I am not planning on being induced this time tho so maybe we will have a little more time. Last doctor appointment my ob told me we may possibly make it to 36 weeks but he was extremely low and he could feel his head in position! I'm just so nervous we won't make it to the hospital in time!
