Can I switch back and forth ?

Can i switch from breast feeding to formula with my baby ? I dont think i can breast feed all the time and if i just cant handle it anymore after a while i want to make sure its okay to just take the baby off and give it formula .

When I have seen this happened when older when jumping back and forth they start just wanting formula. How about mixing half and half? I don't think I would totally switch every other time I think that would bother stomach... Just my opinion and what I have seen tho

Yes and no. When you feed less than 8 times a day (in the first few months) your supply may decrease. So whilst you can supplement with formula just be aware you're milk might not last.

We've been doing this for 11-12 wks now. She gets breastfed 3 times a day, 1 bottle of breast milk and 3 bottles of formula. We've had no issues. I work fulltime and have very little time to pump at work. This is what works best for us. We use Similac Sensitive for formula and Avent Naturals with a size 0 premie nipple.
