I'm due August 24 and it seems like my summer calendar is filling up like crazy already. I'm trying not to plan too much, but also wondering when to have a baby shower.

I think I'm going to have to plan my own (my closest friend had fertility problems and was never able to have children and is having a rough time with me being pregnant). I just don't know how soon or late it should be. I feel like if I don't reserve a date soon the summer will be taken up by bbqs. I'm afraid none of my other friends are going to step up and plan a shower. Help! :(
