I went today to get my Rhogam shot to be told at my Drs appointment that my insurance won't pay for them to give it to me but it does cover the hospital giving it to me. They tell me to still wait for my blood draw for my glucose test, so I waited half hour for that. Once my bloods drawn luckily I mentioned it to the tech who then said she wished she'd known because they'll need to draw my blood at the hospital for the shot, usually if that happens they she doesn't draw blood for the glucose test they just have the hospital. Luckily she was nice enough to walk it to the hospital for me so I didn't need a second draw. This still added at least an hour onto my appointment and now I have to drive an hour home in a snow storm. All because Medicaid is so screwed up they won't pay my Dr to give me the shot.
