Blood test gender reveal?!

I've been hearing about everyone taking a blood test that can tell you the gender of your baby. I ask my doc office about it. They seemed clueless and told me they don't do that there and I'd have to go somewhere else for that. Where in the world do you go if not your doc office and how far along do you have to be? I've heard 11 weeks... ?

I had to take the harmony test because of my age (34) it is a genetic test for down syndrome and other high risk disorders. It also can tell you the sex of the baby. If I wasn't this age, the test would not have been offered to me. Its very expensive. I had to take it twice because they did not get enough fetal DNA. It was a very stressful experience. The only great thing was finding out that my baby was low risk and a boy!

It's a test that screens for Down's syndrome called NIPT. It's typically only offered to women over the age of 35 or those who are high risk. The point of the test is not to determine gender, although it's a great bonus for those that want to find out.

I had it done with this pregnancy I'm a first time mom and only 20 years old my doctors office does it for every patient . You get it done around 10 weeks !

We did it..the genetic testing and Found out the sex at 12 weeks. We have cigna through my husband's work. Didn't have to pay anything

It's a genetics test. It's not specifically for gender, but it's an added perk to the test. I'm sure you could contact one of the companies that do it to find out where else you can get it done, just know it's really expensive if insurance doesn't cover it. I had the Natera Panorama genetics test done.
