I've been struggling with something for almost a year now and I know I can always come to Eve for some judgment free advice🙍🏽 Almost a year ago my boyfriend cheated on me. He had sex with the mother of his child TWICE. Him and I have known each other for decades but have only been together shy of 2 years. I know he's truly sorry for hurting me and I believe everyone makes mistakes but I don't know how to move on. I'm forced to see her every time his daughter visits and the sight of her face makes my blood boil. Does anyone have advice for moving on or forgiving someone for cheating/ advice on rebuilding trust.

It's gonna take time, trust me. Something like this is never easy to get over. Everyone is different because I'm the type that if a man cheated on me, I would leave him. I know my worth, and it's way more than that. I'm not saying you don't because like I said everyone is different. But if you truly do love this man and you want to make it work, then do so. It's gonna take time to get over this. And it's gonna take time for you to get his trust back. But I always say that time heals everything which it does. There will come a day if you decide to stick around, where you will barely think about it, and it won't hurt as much. I can only imagine your pain having to see that girls face all the time. I would go crazy and try not to show it. But you have to put that aside since they have kids together. I know it's hard but like I said, if you really want to make it work with him, try your best to eventually let go and just focuse on you and him and try to forgive.

From personal experience I wouldn't be able to trust him again. If they do it once, they'll do it again. But if you feel like you really love him and want to give him another shot them go for it! However if he does cheat again, as much as you want to go back to him don't do it!! That shows him that he's in charge and he can do it again and again because you'll always take him back. If you're going to give him another chance make this one the last one. Good luck💕

Definitely pray and ask for the forgiveness and strength to keep you going. Give yourself time to heal your ego and lick your wounds. Sometimes we too quick to forgive people because we don't want to give up what we feel we deserve but we haven't given ourselves the time to process what happened and figure out whether or not we can ever trust this person again. That's also an option. Just cuz you forgive doesn't mean you trust.

Been there done that, if you love him girl you will be able to work through it. TIME!!! It definitely take ALOT of time. He will need to rebuild your trust. And you may think of her a lot and just think of the dirty things that have went on but you have to look past that in him if you are wanting to work it out.  If you love him you can do It, I promise.
