Is it safe to eat raw fish (sushi) during pregnancy?

NOTHING RAW. Nothing rare. Well done meat. Absolutely nothing raw. That includes deli meats- unless u plan on cooking deli meats.

I've eaten sushi, yes, raw sushi, many times. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and my son is healthy and I'm fine. I also eat eggs not hard-boiled/cooked through ALL the way. Again... Still healthy.

Technically whatever you read is going to tell you no. My dr said as long as it's a reputable sushi place it's fine. But I haven't taken the risk because how do you really know what's reputable and what's not. A high end sushi place may get a bad shipment of fish in the day you happen to go. So I just stick with cooked rolls for now. And after I give birth I'll eat all the raw I want.

I've consumed sushi with both my pregnancies. My doctor told me as long as I am not eating it weekly I would never be able to consume enough mercury to effect my baby. Plus, the actual fish they tell you not to eat is hardly ever consumed. But it's up to you and how you feel about it

It depends. Some say it's okay and some say no. It's the same risk you have eating it when you aren't pregnant, the only difference is on the rare occasion you do get sick from it it can affect the baby and not just you. I still eat it but I try to stick with the cooked stuff such as shrimp and crab.
