Marriage before having a baby.
So I'm a cashier at a tool store and I absolutely love my job and I try to always keep a smile on my face through the grumpy customers and the horrible days. I'm going on 28 weeks and 3 days pregnant and get comments on my belly all the time from customers. But one I can't stand is this one. "When are you due?" And I'll tell them when. Then they decide to comment back with, "Are you married? No. I'm not. And they get all rude and say, "Well you really should get married before your baby is born." And then they'll walk away. I even went to look at an apartment and the guy asked me who all would be living there. I responded with my boyfriend and I and then our son once he's born in may. His response? "Are you married?" And I flat out said no. Of course he got a weird look on his face and said "Do you plan on getting married this year?" I said maybe, maybe not. He continues with, "You need to." As if he makes the rules in MY LIFE? You don't have to be married in order to give birth to your child. Marriage doesn't make a difference. Our son will be loved and well taken care of by his mommy and daddy whether I have a ring on my finger or not. Really grinds my gears!
