Pre-eclampsia?

I'm just a little nervous I have it & have my next appointment Thursday and going to mention my symptoms. Which include many similar to what I read about. But I'd like to hear some real experiences from you guys! I will be 34 weeks Thursday, (in a day & a half)

I actually had no signs or symptoms what so ever. I did a 24 hour urine me at 34 weeks and dr read my results wrong. He called l&d at 35 weeks while I was doing my nst and told them to admit me. That my protein was extremely high. But, they were holding me longer than normal because my bp was high. So I spent two weeks in and had her at 37 weeks. They're worried about it and his size this time.

I had it with my first at 38 weeks, generally I felt fine. Looking back, my hands feet etc had swollen up. I went for my midwife check up and she said my bp was up and I had protein in my urine so she sent me to the hospital. They made me stay in for 24hours so they could measure my urine and they confirmed preeclampsia so I had to be induced. This time round I'm on baby aspirin. I more aware of my symptoms and feel I could be on the verge of preeclampsia but the aspirin is keeping my blood pressure down.

With my first pregnancy I was diagnosed at 36 weeks. I felt great and had no clue anything was wrong, I thought for sure my Dr was being over cautious. But my blood pressure was high, I was leaking quite a bit of protein in my urine, and I didn't realize it at the time, but I was swelling up a bit. I was urged to see a specialist the very next day, and while I was sure I would just be sent back home because I had felt so good, I was wrong. They induced me the very day I saw the specialist and I had my son the following night. Was not a good experience.

High blood pressure starting at about 33 weeks that kept going up, seeing "stars" when I exerted myself (like going up the stairs), pitting edema in my feet and lower legs, swelling in my hands, by 35 weeks my BP was very high, also around 35 weeks I stopped peeing at night and retained all my water. I gained 7 lbs at 35-36 weeks and then another 7 at 36-37. At my 37 week appointment they finally found protein and sent me to the hospital. My BP spiked at 200/112 and they delivered my daughter that day.

I was diagnosed with it at 33 weeks 1 day. My bp was slowly creeping up since like week 28 but was still acceptable and I didn't have any protein so doctor wasn't worried. I gained 10 lbs in one week but still negative for protein. Had lots of swelling in hands and feet, guess in hindsight some in my face too but I just thought it was the weight gain. The swelling was there when I woke up though. My bp spiked out of nowhere to high 170s/100s so went to l&d and had crazy amounts of protein. Was given 2 doses of steroid shot for her lungs and given a 24 hr urine test. Sent home on strict bed rest, bathroom privileges only. My 24 hr came back at 312, 300 is the cutoff of for preE. Had more freq Dr appts, started losing weight, likely water weight from resting and kidneys working better. At 34 weeks, 2 days was hospitalized for bp and 24 hr protein of 2700. So the condition can worsen fairly quickly! After 3 days, the sent me home to maintain strict bedrest, laying on left side as much as possible. Will have NSTs and BPPs weekly to monitor her. The best case scenario is I'll be induced at 37 weeks, but likely the bps will worsen and will go earlier. They're goal was to make it to at least 35 weeks, which is tomorrow for me. Fingers crossed mama bear. It's all kind of scary and unpredictable but monitor you symptoms and don't hesitate to call your Dr if you have any concerns.

I had it last pregnancy as well...... I honestly was sick (throwing up) the entire pregnancy so I had no idea I had it until I turned in my 24 hour urine sample and it had protein in it... They called me and I went in and had the baby. They are monitoring me now doing twice a week NST to watch my BP and baby because they said once you have pre E your at high risk of getting it again. Don't worry tho it's going to be okay! Good luck

I'm 36 weeks 1 day. I'm currently in the hospital for preeclampsia and honestly the only symptom I really noticed was the swelling in my hands and feet. It wasn't bad and it would go away around noon because they would only swell at night. I had a routine check up on the 3rd the Dr took my urine, check my weight, and took my BP. When I saw the scale I almost flipped because I had actually gained 20 pounds in just 3 week's I didn't know because it spread evenly through my entire body. My BP was 151/80 and for me that's high. I asked then to take it again and it was still high. The Dr came to my room and said I had protein in my urine and took my BP for the 3rd time just to be sure. It didn't change. She sent me straight here, to the hospital and said they where keeping me for 24 hours and came back about 3 hours later and said I'm stuck here until my baby is delivered. She'll be delivered at 37 weeks on the 14th. They did the 24 hour urine test and my protein level was 440. Anything over 300 they will admit you and keep you until 37 week's. That's my story, but everyone's is different.
