Should I be upset?

My hubby and I have a relatively good relationship, no reason why I would want to leave him and I'm sure there's no reason why he'd want to leave me. But this morning i got snoopy, and went thru his phone. He was chatting with one of his friends that are girls around 2-3 am on Sunday while I was at my dads. They didn't really talk about anything inappropriate, but she was saying things like omg your seriously my favorite and asking about love advice and none of his responses mentioned anything about being happily taken or anything. I don't know I know he wouldn't cheat on me, I've just always been really insecure and have had bad relationship where a guy has just upped and left me out of no where. I woke him up crying this morning because I got a little over emotional about seeing those messages but just told him I had a bad dream.  I don't know if I should be upset or if I should confront him, or just let the situation be and no think about it too much. Any advice would help. Thank you!

I'd talk to him about it. Both my husband and I have been cheated on before and we agreed that for us to be comfortable, we don't see a need for one on one conversations or private interaction with people of the opposite gender that aren't family-- it just isn't necessary and we want to safeguard our relationship from any drama that outside sources might try to cause.

I thought the same about my husband he is a nerd and introvert. He played on the computer most of his down time. He was contacted by a girl he used to talk to way back in high school and it got him really confused as far as what he wanted . By us talking and heading it off before something did happen, we now have a stronger and happier relationship. You need to tell him what you found and how it concerns you.

I went through the same thing last weekend. I confronted him he was upset that I went through his phone like I did and I told him I felt disrespected there was nothing harmful in the texts either. Just friendly conversation. But I asked him how'd he feel if I was talking to a guy friend and he agreed he wouldn't like it so he promised to stop. Talk to him about it. Or it's going to eat you up.

I think you should be upset, it's natural if it bothers you. Honestly why were they talking at 3 am in the morning that alone tells me that the took the time to speak with her. I would definitely bring up the conversation about speaking with the opposite sex and let him know how you feel about it.

Going through his phone is a sign of lack of trust. You guys may need to get to the root cause and deal with it. 
My husband I use the same password on our phones and pretty much know his password for everything but I've never really felt to snoop. Call me naive, but I know that my hubby loves me too much and respects the sacrament of marriage.

I think you should just talk to him? I also don't think you need to ask any of us if you should be feeling a certain way. If you're upset, then that's all there is to it. Regardless of what any of us think.
