just got mirena removed - what now?

Question

I just got my mirena removed today after having it for about 2.5 years. I started having some spotting and mild cramping immediately after. is this normal? How long does it last?
I haven't had a period in more than two years, so when can I expect to get my first period? It's really hard to track anything right now because I have no clue when to expect a period.
also DH and I are TTC so has anyone had success with getting pregnant within a few cycles?

There's really never a set time to expect your period it's going to be random for awhile

I'm on my second mirena. My first one was not placed correctly (very painful). However, I bled a ton after I had it removed. Had no idea I was going to bleed and got myself, boyfriend and bed covered in blood. Not fun. It lasted for about 2 days and then was fine. Had it out for about 4 months and my periods were normal. If you had a regular period before you may not have any issue.
