Next time someone asks me if I'm from Africa I'm going to scream and slap them!

I was born and raised in America, so was my mom and dad, grandparents, great grandparents, and great great grandparents now before that I have no clue where I'm from. Obviously blacks in America have some African roots since our ancestors were shipped there from parts of Africa about 100 years ago. Anyway kind of derailing. Well I moved to Australia 3 years ago, and there aren't many African Americans here and personally I haven't met one. However there are Africans here specifically Sundanese who came here as refugees.
Don't get me wrong I have no problem being classified as "African American" however I get offended when someone asks me "so u from Africa? What part?" That's happen on multiple occasions.
Then today I was in line at the grocery store and the guy behind me asked,"what African language do you speak?" Seriously😳 and I said "I only speak English I'm from America". He replied "oh, so you don't know any African language?". I said "no". Then he shook his head as if I'm suppose to know some African language because I'm black. I found that highly offensive.
I'm sure there are some african American people out there that can speak the African language but the percentage is low. A black person in America will most likely learn Spanish before learning any other language.
Anyway black people can come from all parts of the world so don't go around assuming every black person was born in freaking Africa.
Whites and other races can come from all parts of he world as well, but I feel like blacks are the only race where people assume bam! theyre from Africa. 🙄
