Official Dr's office U/S to wait or not to wait?

Are you going to a special u/s place to find out your baby's gender?

I'll have my first ultrasound at 18 weeks. It's been a long wait, but the $150 for an elective scan is much better spent on cute clothes or bedding for the crib, IMO.

I have been getting ultrasounds every week, so the second my doctor saw the gender he told us. 16 weeks we found out it was a girl.

Yeah I chose to wait until 19 weeks for the anatomy scan in a different place. I don't feel the need to do multiple ultrasounds though. Some people love doing it lol. I'd rather just have him in my arms.
