Stranger driving your child home

When I was about 10 or 11 yeas old, I was driven home alone (my friend wasn't able to come with me for whatever reason) by my friends older brother whom was about 19 or 20ish. When I pulled in the driveway, my mom saw that I was alone with this older guy whom she didn't know. My mom was beyond pissed, she asked me who he was and why he was driving me home alone. At the time I was irritated that she reacted that way.

After that, I couldn't hang out with my friend unless she can over. Looking back, I'm greatful my mom was conserined about the situation but I personally would have handled it differently.
