May you please read need advice (sorry for the length)

Carolyn

Good Morning,

I don't know how to process this and I am feeling alone, discouraged & down here it goes:

I am 28yrs old & my entire life since I was 11yrs old I have ALWAYS had a 28 day cycle (even with weight gain). On March 3, 2016 I learned my husband and I were expecting with our first try we were so excited at 12 weeks we learned our baby boy had a cycstic hygroma (sac of fluid behind the head) which resulted in a miscarriage in May (mothers day wknd). I had chromosome and carrier screening test done and everything was normal. I then got my menstrual period June and got pregnant again in July however I miscarried again in September at 6wks (blighted ovum) I met with my obgyn who confirmed both losses are not related. I asked her if maybe she thought I have PCOS and she said no my ovaries looked fine. I got my period Oct skipped Nov got it Dec skipped Jan got it Feb, I thought maybe my body was taking time to go back to a regular cycle. So now my cycle is 45 days. I decided to change doctors (felt she didnt have a good bedside manner).

Well with all that being said my new obgyn ordered blood test and I saw her yesterday for results she diagnosed me with PCOS and perscribed me Metformin 500mg. I am overweight just started dieting 3 wks ago and I am down 12lbs and also have a little facil hair...I just don't understand how I can have this but always have had a 28 day cycle. She stated that the Metformin is to help me loose weight and bring my cycle back to normal. I am due for my period 03.24 I have also been taking CBD OPKS and am on my 8th day of high fertility (which i know is normal you can have up to 10) So I am gonna give it until 04.01 to test etc and if i get a bfn then I am going to start taking Metformin.

Any opinions or advice on this? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any successful stories after taking this medication?
